Meet the Doctor

Evan Beane, D.C.

I had planned on being a Chiropractor since I was 8 years old. I grew up on a farm in Iowa. My undergraduate college was at William Penn and Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Palmer. While I was in Chiropractic College I dreamed of developing a group practice with several chiropractors.

I started my Chiropractic career here in Defiance in 1970 as an associate of Dr. Sherman Bowen. I started my own practice in 1971 and by 1976 hired 2 other chiropractors and built the 1st phase of the present facility.

By 1996 I had built 2 more phases to the facility to house a health food store, rehab facility, additional office space and a staff of 7 chiropractors. In 2000 we formed a group practice with several of my associates as owners to expand the care to our community.

I believe we as chiropractors are spinal specialists that have the best knowledge to evaluate patients and make the appropriate recommendations whether it is our group of Chiropractors or referral to another healthcare provider.

The area of chiropractic that I enjoy most is finding the cause of a patient’s problem; then fix the problem and develop home work strategies for patient that will keep the patient fixed as long as possible.

I have been the board president of the local United Way, YMCA, Sertoma and active on local and state Methodist committees. In my free time I enjoy sailing on the Great lakes and spend time with my family.

Because of the good people in Northwest Ohio, along with our staff I was able to fulfill my Chiropractic dream of a group practice to serve the needs of our area.
